Dave's RV Channel is my way of showing you RV/campers, so while you are at work goofing off on your computer, you can shop for a camper. I also try and show some tips and tricks of the industry. I do not work for any company selling campers or products. I am just a guy with a camera and a passion for campers. Check out my other channel to see my personal life, its called Dave and Muppy channel, it gives you a peek into our lifestyle, as we live on a modest budget while selling antiques, junk, vintage and hand made furniture across the Southern U.S. We travel in a small RV, me and a small dog named Muppy. When we are not traveling I am building furniture, cutting firewood, and finding creative ways to save money, and make money.

Consider buying the EG4 Mini split AC for your camper or home. It runs all day on solar, and the panels come with it. It also heats in the winter.

You do realize that people in England speak English very differently than someone of California, Australia and of course Texas. It’s amazing how many people make ignorant comments about my accent as if there’s only one true English accent that’s acceptable
@@davesrvchannel4717 I always assume the average person is a high level genius regardless of accent since that's what they assume about themselves.
@@davesrvchannel4717 It wasn't so much the accent as the use of the word, done, and I get a kick out of the variety of British accents as well. The "shickens" part I got from one of my great uncles when he told me "don't mess with ma shickens" when I tried to touch one of them. So, it's something I say anyway and not using a southern accent. I might imitate or make fun of an accent, but not in a negative way. But you can't tell that through text across the internet. It's kind of like how after the movie, Sling Blade came out, everyone was trying to talk like him. If you ask me, social media is making people more insane than they already were. The internet was never intended for anything social and filters out about 90% of communication that takes place in person.

Accurate, good video! Yep, run your fridge-tater... Watch movies on an iPad and bring a couple big USB battery banks to recharge it. You can run a small USB fan off a battery bank too. To go totally off grid for like days, like with AC, you'll need waaay more than those 200 watts.

Hey Dave, What is the amp on your solar controller?
With battery fires lately just go with LFP only batteries t replace your system old style batteries!
Adding batteries does no good at all unless you have the solar power to charge them up. If you are charging your battery bank to 90% at the end of the day, another battery will help nothing. You need to balance your battery capacity with your ability to store the available solar input. In your case, it appears that having 100 watts solar (per your battery type) is about right.
I went to having 2 lithium batteries. Problems solved.
I just added another 100ah battery to my truck camper, so now have 200 ah. Next week 200 watts of solar panels will be added to the 100 watts I already have for a total of 300 watts. I have a 3 way refrigerator. I am hoping the refrigerator can run 24 hours a day, and the solar panels can keep the batteries charged. Otherwise I ill have to switch the refrigerator to propane during the over night hours. I will test this in my driveway for a few days.
You should be good with 3 lead acid batteries. In future if you can go to at least 2 lithium you’ll be even better.
